Due to the extreme weather condition of storm eowyn, on Friday 24th January 2025, we have sustained some damage to both our church and halls buildings.
One of the ancient stain glass windows at the front of the church has broken in the way at the top causing some debris to fall into the church. This has been cleared as much as possible and a temporary repair has been done while we establish a more permanent solution.
The church will still be open on Sunday mornings, but if you are at all concerned about your own safety and well being, and you would prefer not to attend church, that is perfectly understandable. Remember you can join the service online on our dedicated YouTube channel.
The halls on the High Street have lost a number of slates from the roof which we will be getting replaced as soon as we can get the appropriate tradesman. Internally, the halls do not appear to have any significant damage due to the storm.
